Tokyo 3D buildings in Google Earth
The last couple of Google Earth builds have been a lot of fun. Besides the gorgeous photography, 3D buildings, road info and annotation tools, you can now also import and view texturized Google Sketchup models. And yes, Tokyo is well represented. Below, a rundown of models you definitely shouldn't miss.
- Sumida Tower (or New Tokyo Tower), which I briefly featured before. Scary.
- The Roppongi Hills Complex. For Adam.
- The NTT DoCoMo Tower everybody knows, but nobody likes.
- The elegant Sompo Japan Building in Shinjuku. Completed in 1976.
- Tokyo City Hall. Wikipedia has more info.
- The Diet Building. I believe this one took a while to make. Especially liking the little flags...
- Tokyo Tower. Eats a lot of CPU on my machine.
- And of course: Godzilla.
