Japan HDR photography

A couple of days ago, I discovered Altus' HDR pictures on Flickr and was blown away by what I saw. A couple of must-sees: Hazy sunrise in Tokyo, Niseko Sunset, Country home in Japan, Hokkaido Winter Sunset. And there's more. I really want to try this out myself!

Update: PingMag has an article up about HDR photography - with Tokyo examples, of course.

More HDR Japan stuff

Hdr Japan
Hdr Okinawa
What is HDR?

But, real hdr files are .hdr or .exr...those are just jpeg files. You can't display hdr files on 24-bit monitors.
